D-Day Lapel Pin
$7.99
During World War II (1939-1945), the Battle of Normandy, which lasted from June 1944 to August 1944. The battle began on June 6, 1944, also known as D-Day, when some 156,000 American, British and Canadian forces landed on five beaches along a 50-mile stretch of the heavily fortified coast of France’s Normandy region.
Recognition of this major event in Canada’s history compelled our designers to put extra effort into producing a quality lapel pin worthy of the occasion. The beautifully enamelled Poppy is die-stamped separately, then attached to the heavily embossed and enamelled body of the pin. Finally, the Rhodium plating produces a high lustre finish. It is suitable for wear on all occasions from formal to every day, and it is attractively presented on a decorative, descriptive card.
