In Ted Zuber's painting, two members of a Sea King helicopter's crew (foreground) look out a door at the destroyer HMCS Terra Nova.
One crew member (left) holds a line connected to a net holding packages, perhaps containing mail from friends, family, and Canadians who wrote to military personnel serving in the Gulf. Three sailors aboard Terra Nova (lower centre) stand ready to receive the packages. Zuber's works depicting the Gulf War are the result of a commission from the Canadian Armed Forces Civilian Artists Program (CAFCAP), an art program co-administered by the Canadian War Museum and the Department of National Defence.
