A Bridge to Peace
The "bridge to peace" idea was very common in Victory Bond campaigns at the end of both world wars. Purchasers were said to be investing in a smooth transition from war to peace by helping to ensure government loans for reconstruction projects, the funding of rehabilitation programs for ex-service personnel, and their own financial success because of the Bonds' respectable rates of interest.
