Exploring Military History Through Art

NEW OFFER

Dive into our captivating exhibition, Outside the Lines – Women Artists and War, through interactive activities tailored to inspire young minds. This program provides an overview of 20th-century military history with a focus on the World Wars.

Each program will begin with a quick object exploration to stimulate the historical imagination of your students. Next, expert-led tours will deepen the understanding of three pivotal paintings by using visual thinking strategies to explore their cultural and historical contexts. Finally, students will unleash their creativity in illustration by extending iconic artworks beyond their frames, or by sketching historical artifacts that appear within them.

This program offers a dynamic blend of art appreciation and historical inquiry, and it is an ideal educational experience for exploring the impact as well as the evolution of war art.
