Join us on May 8 for a very special evening to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War and the 20th anniversary of the Canadian War Museum building.
Be among the first guests to experience our new exhibition, Last Voices of the Second World War, featuring the unforgettable stories of Canada’s Second World War veterans and their families. Learn how military service shaped the lives of those who served — and the generations that followed — in profound and unexpected ways.
There will be musical performances by the Sons of Scotland Pipe Band and Saeideh Rajabzadeh.
In honour of the 20th anniversary of the War Museum on LeBreton Flats, we’ll be hosting our own version of a Victory Dance, with music by Peter Beaudoin and Le petit BIG BAND, and we’ll also launch a Canadian War Museum tartan.
Capture memories of the evening at the Kodak Girls photo booth and purchase your own souvenir catalogue of the exhibition.
After the exhibition opening, plan to come back over the weekend for more special activities to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Museum building and the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
