Lieutenant-General Sir Arthur Currie, commander of the Canadian Corps, decorates a Canadian officer with a Bar to the ribbon of the Distinguished Service Order (DSO). The DSO was awarded to officers for meritorious or distinguished service in wartime. A Bar was added to the ribbon of those who received the award a second time.
