Canada Under Attack Exhibition Closing April 9

Ottawa, Ontario, March 26, 2007 — The Canadian War Museum will be closing the exhibition CANADA UNDER ATTACK: The Battle of the St. Lawrence (1942–1944) on Monday, April 9, one week early.

About the exhibition
CANADA UNDER ATTACK: The Battle of the St. Lawrence (1942–1944)
In the middle of the Second World War, a German submarine sinks a Canadian ship. But the attack does not occur in the mid-Atlantic, or along the shores of Europe. It happens here, in the heart of Canada’s Gulf of St. Lawrence. Over a period of two years, German U-boats will infest the River and the Gulf, sinking more than 20 ships. Witness their impact on Canada’s small East Coast communities. The war is on their doorstep.

A travelling exhibition jointly created by the Naval Museum of Québec and the Musée de la Gaspésie.
