Family Activity: Paradummy
Daily from August 1 to 8 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
D-Day Deceptions! To deceive the Germans before the invasion of Normandy in the Second World War, the Allies dropped paratrooper dummies, known as “Rupert,” from airplanes. Make your own miniature “Rupert” using common household materials.
In conjunction with the Camouflage exhibition.

Family Activity: Military Vehicle Demonstrations
August 711 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Join us for a demonstration of three military vehicles from the Canadian War Museum’s collection. Watch them run, talk to the driver and get up close to these powerful machines.

Daily from August 9 to 22 — 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Create your own camouflage artwork inspired by dazzle-painted ships.

In commemoration of the 65th anniversary of V-J Day (Victory in Japan), meet Canadian veterans of the Allies’ war against Japan and listen to their stories.
