During the War of 1812, important messages were written using a quill pen, sealed with wax and hand-delivered. Write your own letter with a quill pen and seal it to keep it secret.

Many early conflicts in Canada were fought with muskets. View and touch reproductions of two of these muskets—the French Charleville and the British Short Land Pattern—both of which were used in the War of 1812.
