Explore Canada’s fascinating history at the Canadian Museum of Civilization, and don’t miss the special exhibition Afghanistan: Hidden Treasures. This acclaimed exhibition showcases treasures that miraculously survived war and chaos in Afghanistan. These stunning objects from the National Museum in Kabul had been feared stolen or destroyed. But they had been daringly hidden by a group of brave Afghans and discovered 20 years later. Today, they shine anew, unveiling the secrets of a rich and diverse ancient culture.

The Canadian War Museum presents 5,000 years of Canada’s rich military history. Be sure to visit Camouflage: From the Battlefield to the Catwalk. This special exhibition traces the history of camouflage over the last century in military equipment, uniforms, models, art, street-wear, and haute couture. Explore the patterns and products that hide armies, inspire artists and dominate fashion in this compelling exhibition of more than 150 artifacts, contemporary design and hands-on activities.
