Over The Top
Without waiting for the others, you turn and begin crawling rapidly back towards your own lines.
– “Terry, no!” shouts George, “Stay here! Don’t move!”
But George’s warning is in vain as a German machine-gun crew, having noticed your movement, opens up with a terrifying burst. The bullets scream in all directions, instantly killing George and Sergeant Wilkes. You scramble in desperation to escape the deadly hail of machine-gun fire. Then, in the blink of an eye, your body is riddled with half a dozen bullets and you slump lifelessly to the ground.
Although you and the others are officially listed as missing in action, you are never heard of again.
