From the beginning of the Wood Mountain Stampede in 1890, we have been involved. We have entered in the half-mile and mile races, Indian pony races, slow races, chariot races and chuck wagon races. We have been contestants, judges and flag bearers. We have been bronc riders and bull riders, wild-cow milkers and wild-horse racers, calf ropers and steer wrestlers. We have entertained the crowds with parades, Pow-wows and music. Some of us have been rope spinners and trick riders. We have run booths, and designed rodeo posters and logos. We are still part of the stampede.
